The hyper active Danish pop artist, Favor, releases a new single ‘Way Too Soon’ on November 29 to keep his creative momentum going.
The Danish singer Jeppe Gade, alias Favor, has already supported the Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid and the indie success The Japanese House. On top of this he has also received international praise and critical acclaim from music blogs in the US, Australia, Germany and Norway for his catchy melodies and indiepop nostalgia.
Jeppe continues a very active year with the release of his new single Way Too Soon, produced by the Danish indie- darling, Masasolo aka. Morten Søgaard, who has just released an album on his own. Together the two artists have created a groovy soundscape reminiscent of The 1975.
Jeppe explains about the new single:
“I find myself in a very creative period where the songs and melodies just keeps flowing, and I don't want to overthink everything. I just want to keep releasing new music, and even though this feeling is great I am also well aware that it comes with certain issues because I tend to react to instinct more than rationality. The paradox here being that the song is about speaking up too soon. Am I asking about this way too soon?”
In October Favor released his 2nd EP ‘404, Friends and Lovers’ which created a lot of hype for the Danish singer. The indie hit-single ‘Wiki’ was featured on Spotify tastemaker playlist “Fresh Finds” and got airplay on radiostations from UK to Mexico and was also aired on the biggest national radio station on Denmark.
lyrics
I see what wifey always talked about
I bore them all to tears
I bore you too
I am still the only one to compromise
So I’m not living here
Just dropping by
Should have learned from my mistake
I thought I stopped before too late
Gin and pillow talk
It complicates
Lying in your hallway
Sleeping it off
The smell is on your bedsheets now
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Only wanna stay here ‘till tomorrow
Way too soon
Was it was it was it was it
Way too soon
You’re choking up yeah
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
I don’t want to get to know you less than now
A backwards love affair
My eager mind
You’ve been known to go into defensive fight
I didn’t mean the words
I try to lie
Never wanna hold you
Making you stay
But baby where are we heading now
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Only wanna stay here ‘till tomorrow
Way too soon
Was it was it was it was it
Way too soon
You’re choking up yeah
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon Way too soon
Was it was it was it was it
Way too soon
You’re choking up yeah
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Are we gonna make it through
Even though I spoke to soon
Way too soon
