On march 27 the Danish singer and songwriter Jeppe Gade releases his debut album“CRUSH” under his indiepop alias Favor. It consists of 11 new songs all written under the most difficult circumstances to create music.



Two years ago Jeppe released his first single and began an adventurous journey under his energetic indiepop alter ego, Favor. Since then things have been going fast for the young Dane. He supported the Norwegian pop sensation SIGRID and the British indie darling THE JAPANESE HOUSE. The growing interest for Favor’s catchy tunes, playful universe and hugely extroverted live performances led to numerous releases and concerts over a short period of time and then in the summer of 2019 Jeppe was diagnosed with loss of hearing and tinnitus, which triggered panic and an identity crisis.



Jeppe elaborates:

“For me, creating music is a way of life and if I cannot, well who am I then? I was really scared it would get worse. Because what would happen if it did? I talked to my producer Morten Søgaard (Masasolo) about and he just asked the right questions. Which songs would you wish you had writ- ten? Who would you have written them for? What would they be about? That became a turning po- int for me.”

Favor’s universe and music has always been surrounded by a distinctive and ambitious visual style. The album’s opening track ‘In My Blood’ will also be released as a breathtaking animated music video created by cartoonist Maria Sandvig. It shows the struggle the singer faced when the fear of not being able to create music any longer suddenly struck him.


Favor debuted in 2018 and has since released two EP’s with the latest from October 2019 “404, Fri- ends and Lovers” received praise from Danish and international blogs. It also contained three hit singles which all debuted on the Danish National Radio’s biggest channel P3. The track ‘Wiki’ from the EP was also added to the Spotify hype playlist “Fresh Finds” and continues its airplay on British and Mexican radio.
