Danish pop artist Favor kicks off the decade with the new single “Feeling Something” on January 24 and announces his debut album.
The Danish singer Jeppe Gade, alias Favor, had a busy last year supporting both the Norwegian pop sensation Sigrid and the indie darling The Japanese House. On top of this he received critical acclaim for the release of his second EP ‘404, Friends and Lovers’ with his catchy melodies and indie pop nostalgia. Favor is not looking to slow down going into the new decade as he releases the new indie-disco single ‘Feeling Something’ on January 24. It is taken from his forthcoming debut album.
Jeppe Gade aka. Favor tells about the song:
“In the process of writing material for the album, I wanted a change of scenery so I moved my studio out into a cabin two hours outside Copenhagen. What happened was that the train ride back and forth from the cabin actually inspired just as much as the studio. This song is written on one of the first train rides. I was trying to figure out what had made me get out of a warm bed and leaving her back home, while I went out into the middle of nowhere for something as ego centered as this. If it was her leaving me to do something like this, I would have done everything to make her stay.”
Favor has previously released two EPs, but it was the new EP that a lot og hype was centered around the Danish singer/songwriter. The indie hit-single ‘Wiki’ was featured on Spotify tastemaker playlist “Fresh Finds” and got airplay on radiostations from UK to Mexico and was also aired on the biggest national radio station on Denmark.
